Serving as a pastor was something Alex considered from childhood. After four years at Luther Preparatory School, a specialized high school in Watertown, Wisconsin, he continued his studies at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. After four years he received his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. His coursework there included becoming proficient in Greek, Hebrew, German, History, Science, and other areas. Then came the next four years of study at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, from which he received his Master in Divinity. There he took courses devoted to the study of Scripture in the original languages. The curriculum also included large amounts of academic courses like church history and doctrine as well as practical courses like preaching, counseling and evangelism.
Part of Alex’s training included an internship at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2009 and 2010. Upon graduation from the Seminary, Alex received a call to serve at Beautiful Savior Lutheran in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2011 and has been serving here ever since. In addition to his responsibilities at Beautiful Savior, Alex serves as the coordinator for the Commission on Youth and Family for the WELS Michigan District.
Alex married his wife Carrie in 2009. Carrie serves as a teacher in Beautiful Savior’s school ministry. They look forward to meeting you!
